The Civil National Police (PNC) apprehended a man in the early hours of Saturday, November 4, who declined to undergo the breathalyzer test.
«A blatantly drunk driver refused to take the breathalyzer test, so he was apprehended on suspicion of dangerous driving,» reported the Ministry of Transportation (VMT).
The identity of the driver was not disclosed by the authorities. Between Friday night, November 3, and Saturday, November 4, the VMT installed a new anti-drug checkpoint in the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador to prevent accidents caused by intoxicated drivers.
