Meta’s chief, Mark Zuckerberg, has adopted a new persona alongside a fresh style: Z-Pain. This is the alias he uses for his latest creative venture—a collaboration with T-Pain on an acoustic rendition of the early 2000s hit «Get Low.»
On Wednesday, Zuckerberg shared the track via an Instagram post, noting it was a present for his wife, Priscilla Chan. The tech mogul reminisced that this song was a staple at the college party where he first encountered Chan back in 2003 and that they commemorate it annually on their dating anniversary.

Interestingly, the couple’s first meeting was while waiting in line for the bathroom. Zuckerberg asked Chan out, humorously warning her they should go on a date soon as he might be expelled. The rest is well-known—Zuckerberg founded Facebook, with Chan’s unwavering support. The pair married in 2012 and are now parents to three children.
For their 21st anniversary, Zuckerberg expressed his wish to craft their unique version of the track, thereby collaborating with T-Pain.

For those familiar with Zuckerberg’s public persona, hearing him belt out lyrics like, «Til sweat drops down my balls,» would certainly be unexpected. Yet, the evolution of the Meta CEO from his days as a socially awkward geek to his current confident persona is evident.
Writing this left me in disbelief, requiring me to stifle an audible reaction. Nevertheless, the sentiment behind the gesture is commendable. Despite Zuckerberg not being a professional singer, the effort he put into creating this special song for his wife is admirable. T-Pain complements the track with his contribution to the chorus and a featured verse.
While my perception of Zuckerberg has been altered by his foray into music, my opinion is inconsequential. What truly counts is Chan’s view, and she is evidently delighted.
«It’s so romantic,» Chan commented amid laughs on an Instagram story posted by Zuckerberg. «21 years later I can’t get quite as low, but it brings back lots of cherished memories.»
