Sentenced to 50 years in prison for killing, violating and strangling his former partner

David Antonio Solano Mejía, also known as «Alboroto,» was sentenced this week to 50 years in prison by a Sentencing Court for the crime of aggravated femicide against his former partner.

The Attorney General’s Office reported that the court accepted the prosecution’s version that Solano Mejía, on the day of the crime, July 7, 2022, went to his ex-partner’s house, raped her, and suffocated her to death.

The victim’s family, who reported the femicide, stated that Solano Mejía had been separated from the woman for over six months, and despite the separation, he continued to harass and threaten his ex-partner.
